The leader of the National Development Movement Party, Dashamir Shehi, said that the new parties aim to create a new alternative to the opposition, with the aim of gathering the votes of the gray electorate.
Shehi stated that it is not about obtaining a mandate, which he said he could easily do by joining Berisha, but about a new political offer.
" The new parties, which I like to call alternative parties, we are on the path to creating a new political trajectory to produce an opposition that is different from today's, to collect the gray vote, which is no longer integrated within the opposition with Berisha or Meta, this is our task. If this work is done for a mandate of an MP, here is Berisha, he approaches them very kindly with the opportunism and political pragmatism that he has. I have had this offer all my life, but if we want to make a turn within the opposition to collect that vote that has been there for many years and I am one of those who have been repeating for 6 months that we find a formula. I have also given you some advice; that if you don't like us old people, get together, you young people, make a joint list because it will be healthier for democracy ", said Shehi in the Barometer on 'Euronews Albania'.
