"Free speech is the antidote to dictatorships", Berisha gives his next

The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, gave a speech again this evening from the window of his apartment, from where he is carrying out the security measure "house arrest" imposed by the court.

From the window of the apartment, Berisha said that the main goal of the regimes is to kill free speech in order to instill fear in the citizens, and further brought several cases from the dictatorship to the present day.

He added that free speech will not be hindered by Rama, as he pointed out that soon mass gatherings will start all over the country.

" This protest cannot be described as anything other than a holy protest. Free speech is sacred. Today we are here in a protest for free speech. One of the living martyrs of free speech Salman Ruzhdie says it is everything. Human beings without free speech are nothing more than miserable automatons of fear. Without free speech, there is no thought, no dignity. Without dignity, man has no value. A support for Albanian journalists, they are the parliamentarians of free speech without immunities. The tyrant's battle began against journalists. Free speech is the antidote to dictatorships.

The moment we get up, Edi Rama has no tunnel in Surrel to hide. I express my gratitude to the journalists who in a white moment brought out the first issue of RD on January 6, 1991. That day was like no other. That cold morning was the most electrifying of this country and nation. People eager for free speech eagerly awaited the publication of RD. It is in honor of those who published it and the intellectuals who lined up on the side of truth. RD turned into a spokeswoman for the truth ," said Berisha.
