Interior Minister Taulant Balla has warned that measures can be taken to close the "Tik Tok" network after the tragic event in Durrës, where a woman ended her life.
Balla said that it is an emergency situation that requires an immediate solution and that Tik Toku is turning into an uncontrollable distributor of violence, harming society.
" 2168 cases of violence and other crimes in family relationships have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office. So, dear friends, we are in the conditions, I would call it, of an emergency situation, which requires an immediate address, and this cannot be achieved only with the force of the law.
This is achieved by all coming together, by creating what I would call a national coalition of all actors, be they actors of state institutions, civil society, and the media. Because we have to admit, I'm not talking about traditional media, but there are now new elements of media and I am at least in this aspect very clear about the destructive role of TikTok, as an uncontrolled spreader of violence and the damage it creates to society .
But we need to start treating the high number of victims, and here then for me there is an essential moment, how many of these victims have been treated and received assistance, support, protection and received treatment ", said Balla.
