The former US ambassador, Yuri Kim, returns to Albania with a new role.
This time, not under the guise of the US ambassador in Tirana, but as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State.
She accompanies the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on his 8-hour stopover in Tirana.
Kim left Albania in June 2023 had not just one message, but several in her farewell speech.
He chose to single out the spiritual connection with our country in this successful mission of these 3 and a half years where he expressed gratitude for tradition and history. He also emphasized that there will still have to be strict reforms to eradicate corruption and facilitate the procedures for the right to property.
