The "Right for Development" coalition has announced that the necessary documentation for the withdrawal of candidates for the closed lists has been completed. Thus, Alibeaj's party will go to the elections with only 140 candidates from the open list.
MP Enkelejd Alibeaj said that this maneuver was consulted with the CEC and is legal.
"During the control of the lists, our coalition found that there is no one implicated in illegal activities, which shows the correctness of our list and the seriousness with which we are engaged in the fight against corruption. The coalition has prepared the necessary documentation for the withdrawal of candidates for the closed lists. From today onwards, from next week, the citizens of Albania should know that we are competing with open lists," said Alibeaj.
Meanwhile, MP Shehi stated that there is now no risk of dividing mandates for MPs within the entity.
Regarding Rama-Basha's remarks on social media, Shehi said that "Right for Development" will not pursue any opponent or competitor, but is entering a serious campaign.
