The deputy of the Democratic Party, Lefter Gështenja, said that he was threatened by several deputies at the Presidency meeting. Geshtenja said that if it were not for the journalists, the clash between the deputies on the evening of June 5 would have turned physical.
" No one should be in a hurry to make DP decisions. What I'm asking is that we should give it a breather. It will be completely readable tomorrow. What happened that night was beyond shameful, completely unacceptable and must not happen again. They threatened me and other colleagues. Thanks to the journalists, there were no physical clashes. I include myself among the people I'm asking Democrats to join.
Democrats must unite, they don't give us names. We must contribute to a DP bigger than yesterday and bigger than that of 2021. We must run to make the DP bigger. If we want a small part, this situation will continue. These leaders have done any school and only they do it? I think there are very good candidates within the DP for decent people. No one is afraid of the race and no one is afraid of the vote. If we don't increase the trust among the democrats, we can't even do it among the Albanians ." Gështenja said in the Assembly.
