The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that they have already started the fever to be a deputy within the Democratic Party.
Invited to Euronews Albania, Spahiu said that he has an explanation for the war that has started. He further added that DP will be remembered as a party which brought democracy but is unable to produce candidates.
Spahiu also said that the conflict in the DP happened because, according to him, the heads of the branches want to push these deputies to be on the lists for deputies.
"Surprisingly, those who are against the election of the president today should have solved this story on March 6, 2021, when Lulzim Basha resigned. They left a party without a leader for 1 and a half years, they left it with a person in command and they didn't even give explanations, they didn't do analysis, they didn't give reasons either in the media or in the party why this party functioned like that until the moment of the elections that this group of deputies were completely unclear about what they would do about entering the elections or not, and the Democratic Party will be remembered as unprecedented in history that a party that has brought democracy, has been in power for 16 years, has 33 years in politics to be unable to produce candidates.
Who guarantees that this party without a leader will bring it to power and vice versa? There is some guarantee that unites them. Now we have entered the process that after 1 and a half years the lists of MPs are made and the fever has started and do you know what is yesterday's conflict? Those heads of branches want to push these MPs to be on the lists for MPs", concluded Spahiu.
