The co-chairman of the SP in the Electoral Reform Commission, Damian Gjiknuri, in a statement to the media, called on the opposition not to hinder the development of physical meetings.
He says that he does not understand why Berisha-Bardhi MPs are blocking something that is in the interest of the opposition itself.
After the failure of the physical meeting which started today at 10:00, the meeting was held online at 12:00, thus avoiding tensions.
"Our aim is to move the work forward. You are a witness that a part of the opposition has made the physical meeting of the commission impossible with vandalism.
The commission is comprehensive, it was set up under the spirit of representing the political currents that are in the Assembly. No voice there is unrepresented. The veto is more likely to be blocked, the claim raised. We should not stick to the veto issue, the parties have the experts involved to help find solutions with the recommendations of the OSCE-ODIHR.
The will of the majority is to listen to all sides. The flow of opposition to come with concrete proposals.
I appeal to you, do not hinder the development of the commission. It is in your interest, the opposition also needs reform. SP can be comfortable with this Electoral code, since we are the party in power and have a code approved by ODIHR. The opposition should be the first interested and I don't understand how it hinders the parties ", said Gjiknuri.
