Deputy Agron Shehaj said that while the work continues for the plenary session where the budget will be discussed, it has been 11 days since the ship with over 100 containers of toxic waste is in front of the Port of Durrës.
He charged that half of the government is involved in the hazardous waste scandal, while demanding transparency about what's going on.
"It's been 11 days since the ship with over 100 containers of toxic waste is in front of the Port of Durrës. The Minister of the Interior must give an answer and say what is being done.
Half of the government is involved in this scandal, the prosecutor's office reacted on Friday and said that you told them that you are struggling.
You don't call this issue important, you don't think the opinion should be made known? Mr. Minister, can you tell us what the hell you are doing?", he said.
Minister Hoxha replied that the conditions are being created for the containers to be unloaded in a public space in Durrës.
"The prosecutor's office has made a public announcement in cooperation with the police, the customs agency and the port authorities. Very soon, the containers will land in a public space, but we are creating the conditions for such a thing," he said.
