Péter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, which also holds the next presidency of the EU, spoke about the opening of the first group of chapters of Albania.
In the joint conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama, he stated that the preparatory process is difficult and complex, while he said that the diplomatic academy of foreign affairs in Hungary will treat 50 members of the Albanian administration so that they can contribute to the procedures of membership.
"It is an honor for us that the start of real and substantial negotiations started during the Hungarian presidency. This is becoming a habit on our part, and they were in this position and then it was Croatia.
Today we talked about the basic chapters as a group. There are 6 that need to be negotiated and we know that the preparation process is difficult, complex, strong and we know that experience matters. And when the prime minister visited us in Budapest, we agreed that the diplomatic academy of foreign affairs in Hungary will treat 50 members of the Albanian administration so that they can contribute to the membership procedures," said the Hungarian foreign minister.
