Accused of concealing wealth, the deputy of the Democratic Party was summoned at noon today to the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime.
After giving his testimony for about 1 hour, Luan Baçi said that the case for which he was reported was closed earlier, but SPAK opened it again. Baçi claimed that the report is false just to make news, but nevertheless added that he appeared to testify.
Baçi appeared alone, without the accompaniment of a lawyer, and in a statement to the media, he admitted that he received the same report again, but no violation on his part resulted.
"I call on the government to put into operation new offices for BKH employees because there are 7-8 employees in a small office and they work in bad conditions.
I am in the capacity of a declarant as a patronageist makes the same report year after year. I again responded to your invitation. There was a report and it was dismissed as a matter. My assets have been investigated 'thread by thread' and I have access to those people who are transparent. I am very calm and it is closed as an issue", said Baçi to the media.
In February 2024, Luan Baçi was reported to SPAK for concealment of income and money laundering by Aredin Beberi, who also made available documents according to which he transferred to Baçi sums of money that the latter did not declare in his declaration of wealth but has hidden them.
According to the journalist Ermal Vija, the complainant from Fieri claims that the democratic deputy has hidden his wealth, an amount of 800 thousand euros, more specifically an apartment complex in the city of Vlora, the value of which Baçi has not declared.
