The first meeting of the investigative commission for the handling of TIMS system data started with a clash between the chairman Ervin Salianji and the socialist vice-chairman Toni Gogu.
Gogu said that this commission should stay on the tracks of the law, refusing to consider the proposal of the democrats to call as a witness, the head of Reestablishment under house arrest, Sali Berisha.
"It is in the honor of this commission and your integrity that we stay on the tracks of the law. The experts propose the investigation plan in accordance with the law. Of course, we also have the right to propose calling witnesses", said Gogu.
Further, Gogu turned to Salianji, telling him not to become Sali Berisha's judge.
"I understand that in your dream you want to become Berisha's judge, maybe you want to acquit him, but this commission does not have this activity.
It is not our mission to remove our colleagues from environments where they suffer the measures imposed by justice. Let's not turn this commission into a joke", declared Gogu.
Democratic MP Lefter Gështenja, referring to the commission's investigation, said that "movements have begun, the dismissal of incumbents like that of DSIK, but rest assured this majority will not succeed. If one of the members withdraws, we certainly do not move forward. As inclusiveness is required".
"The director of DSIK resigned or was forced to resign in order to get his hands on the data, an investigation is needed," said Lindita Metaliaj.
