Prime Minister Edi Rama has not spared jokes directed at Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, whom he labeled as a bad loser, but who never admits defeat.
And while Berisha and his supporters protested in front of the Prime Minister's Office building on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard in Tirana, Edi Rama held a meeting with young people in Elbasan, where he promised the Government's support for technology enthusiasts.
In his speech, Rama said that the worst losers are those who never accept the result and try to find excuses for the loss. And this joke, Rama directed at a distance to Berisha, who does not recognize the result of the May 11, 2025 elections, while accusing the Prime Minister of stealing votes. And while on the one hand he accuses Rama of stealing votes or manipulating the results, on the other hand the DP has not conducted any analysis regarding the catastrophic result of 1 year ago.
" It often happens because we, in general and especially Albanian men, are very bad losers. A bad loser is someone who cannot accept that they deserved to lose a match, a competition, a challenge and insists on the fact that their imagination tells them that they were cheated, that someone else undeservedly took what was theirs, that here credit is never given to those who are due, that here someone gave money and someone else gave their word for a bride, etc., which is also the way to continue being a loser.
Meanwhile, good losers are those who come back to themselves and do not keep finding reasons after reasons by fantasizing, or do not justify themselves with the fact that in one case it may have happened that they lost unfairly, but motivate each other as a team to do the right thing and win the next match. This world belongs to dreamers who dare , "said Rama.
