Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu has reacted harshly to the security situation in the country. He has accused the government of collaborating with criminal cartels.
The DP MP emphasized that organized crime has penetrated state structures and is directly endangering national security.
According to Balliu, the US State Department has confirmed money laundering schemes that also involve high-ranking officials and he further added that the Democratic Party will publicly expose these connections.
"The dramatic situation in the country, where organized crime and cartels have become partners with politics, has managed to directly undermine national security.
The US State Department has already certified the existence of a criminal money laundering scheme by the cartels, through their cooperation with the government.
"Faced with this alarming situation, the members of the Democratic Party on the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense will publicly expose these connections, acting in defense of the national interest ," Balliu writes.
