President Bajram Begaj participated today in the ceremony celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Support Battalion of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The President praised the dedication of the military personnel, civilian personnel, and the vision of the leaders who have transformed this battalion into an elite and modernized unit of the support structures of the Armed Forces.
Referring to this journey of challenges and sacrifices, the President of the Republic emphasized during his speech that this unit has never stopped fulfilling its mission.
"Today's generation inherits not only the uniform, but also the honor of those who served before you, keeping alive the spirit of dedication to the homeland. This unit, like all Armed Forces, has entered a new era, more motivated in its mission, more modern in equipment and capabilities, and more respected in Albanian society: Today, the uniform of the Albanian military is a symbol of discipline, dedication, and national dignity," said Begaj.
Referring to missions inside and outside the country, President Begaj assessed that: "Through the discipline, professionalism and dedication of our personnel in NATO, United Nations and European Union missions, Albania's role has been strengthened and made visible in the international arena."
In the context of geopolitical and security challenges, the Head of State underlined the cooperation with the North Atlantic Alliance and the role of strategic partners, especially the US, for peace and stability, as well as support for the modernization of the Armed Forces.
The President of the Republic conveyed special gratitude at this ceremony to the Honorary Corps and the Brass Band, which have represented with dignity not only the Armed Forces, but also the Albanian state at national and international ceremonies.
"I say with conviction that the members of the Honor Guard and the Brass Band have honored the sacred uniform with the colors of the flag," declared the President of the Republic.
