The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, says that the health condition of lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi will be in danger until Monday, referring to the communication he had with his doctors.
Invited to the "Opinion" show, Minister Balla stated that in the case of violence against the lawyer, it is an old conflict as he added that he discussed with one of his colleagues how it is possible that the State Police was not alerted earlier. .
'I join all the concerns regarding this serious event and I hope that Morning passes this difficult moment. I also communicated with the doctors who are taking care of me. Until Monday I think he will be in danger for his life, if it passes and Monday, he will completely pass this, I consider the incident serious. You said that in Slovakia the prime minister was attacked in a square and in the city center. We need to prevent in the case in question, as I told one of my colleagues, it would have been good... It is about an old, accumulated conflict about which I said to one of my colleagues that it is possible that it is not alerted the State Police, it is a matter of several months of conflict. This is a serious event, but within a few hours, the State Police, thanks to the information of our colleagues, managed to arrest both the main author and the orderer. Such an event is extremely difficult to prevent if you do not have advance warnings. Citizens should signal such conflicts or dangers in time. Only in the 5th month of this year, thanks to the notification, 71 serious criminal incidents have been prevented.', said the minister.
