The following days will be decisive for the political fate of Sali Berisha. For 33 years he has dominated Albanian politics, but in the next 10 days, he may receive two final blows, which will completely remove him from politics.

On June 11, the fate of the DP seal is expected to be decided in the Appeal. For two years, the group of Berisha and Basha have been running around the courts and TV studios saying who leads the Democratic Party. But on Tuesday we can have a final decision on who the DP belongs to. The appeal returned the case to the First Instance, but the case went to the Supreme Court, which decided that the Court of Appeal should make a final decision. So the Appeal must say whether Berisha or Basha has the DP seal. The session will be held at 10 o'clock and the jury consists of Alma Ahmeti, Iliba Bezati and Elona Toro. If there is no adjournment, it is hoped that the Appeal will reach a final decision.

This decision is of great importance, since the fate of Berisha and Basha's groups will be determined depending on it. If the seal remains for Basha, Berisha cannot enter the elections and will have to create a new party, or he will take refuge with Ilir Meta and the small parties.

The same and if the opposite happens. Basha is out of the game, as he has very few MPs behind him, and the only solution will be to come out with his own party.

But this will not be the only development that Berisha is anxiously awaiting. On June 20, it will be 6 months since he has not set foot in the Parliament. This means that, according to the Constitution, he should be stripped of his mandate as a deputy. SPAK and GJKKO have banned him from going to the Assembly. Now it is up to Berisha himself, whether he will break the security measure and then risk prison, or will his political end be sealed there.
