A news published by the Italian media has revealed that a year ago, the former prime minister, Massimo D'Alema, alternated his political engagements with his new life as an entrepreneur. According to the documents provided by the Italian portal "Open", on January 7, 2023, D'Alema founded the company A&I Albania sh.pk in Tirana, which he entered in the official Albanian register on January 12. It is a limited liability company (which in Albania has the acronym sh.pk) whose capital is entirely owned by D'Alema.
It is a comprehensive assistance company for Italian businessmen. According to the charter of A&I Albania, D'Alema's new entrepreneurial venture in Tirana has as its object “business assistance and consultancy for natural and legal persons regarding the search and creation of business opportunities. What casts doubt is that the share capital of D"Alema's company is 58,730 ALL, equal to around 500 euros. Meanwhile, according to the Italian media, the administration of the company has been entrusted to an Albanian accountant, Majlinda Haloçi.

Rumors, currently denied by his managers, speak of an interest in a new tourist village in Vlora.
For some time, many rumors have been circulating in Tirana about the activities of the former Italian prime minister in that country. Some of these are related to the attempt to unite a consortium of Italian entrepreneurs to participate in a tender signed by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama for the construction of a large tourist village in the area of Vlora a few km from the new airport which should to be opened during 2024.
Just a few days ago, he was accused by RAI3 in the report about Albania of having helped Rama in the creation of his narco-state.
The accusations were so serious that La Notizia journalist Andrea Sparaciari wrote in one of his articles that "for us, many of the reported facts were known (except for the lobbying activity of Massimo D'Alema, of which we were not aware ), but seeing them shown by such a famous RAI program was a shock and had a huge impact."
