The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, has resigned. It is learned that Dredha signed his resignation this evening, while there is still no information on the reasons for this decision.
However, it is worth noting that Rama had recently "targeted" Mayor Dredha, as the latter did not go along with the Prime Minister's "whims". Rama's open attack on Dredha has also been noticed by the debates that the Prime Minister chose to have with him at times and places where he ensured that the cameras were recording.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Ermal Dredha has been at the head of the Municipality of Vlora since July 2023, when he replaced Dritan Leli.

From May 2016 to March 2023, he served as Ambassador of Albania to the United Arab Emirates.
In April 2023, he was selected as the Socialist Party candidate for the local elections in the Municipality of Vlora. In May 2023, he won the elections and took office in July 2023, replacing Dritan Leli.
