Speaking about the race for the Municipality of Tirana, Adriana Kalaja has openly expressed her desire to run.
" Seeing that some figures who should have run, at some risk to themselves, refused to do so, I have volunteered," said Adriana Kalaja, President of the DP Court of Appeal.
" Not that I said I want to run, but I have shown my availability to the Democratic Party. I have the platform ready because, as a reminder to the public, I ran in the 2022 primaries for the 2023 elections ," Kalaja added.
When asked if he would agree that the candidate be Sali Berisha himself, Kalaja replied: " Of course, if there is support. Mr. Berisha has run a spectacular campaign, while those on the closed list were sleeping. We have our own problems, we have not yet done an internal analysis of where we went wrong. If we do not find the mistakes, we cannot solve the problems for the next elections. If we cannot come up with a winning figure, who better than Mr. Berisha can do this, especially since we are aware that those 500 thousand votes belong to Sali Berisha, whether we like it or not."
