Socialist Pandeli Majko has revealed one of his clashes with Prime Minister Edi Rama within the Socialist Party. Majko said that the topic of debate was the draft law on the legalization of medical cannabis. Majko said that he personally refused to vote for it in the Assembly.
"There was a vote, there was a division, just as there was a union. Do you think that with Ed Rama there were no debates. It happened in Congress, half of the delegates left the hall. Or recently. Or in a word, should we feel guilty for not getting into a fight. Aaaa debate?! Rama debates as a rule and with his clothes on. The problem is that you don't see debates in public. Let me tell you something, we had a very old debate with Rama, about the work of cannabis, for example, about the bill that was passed recently on legal cannabis. I was against it, I abstained in Parliament.
Currently, we are issuing licenses for planting cannabis. If cannabis is planted 200 m away from the plot where the license was issued, the headman, the head of the family, and the dangerous neighbor who did not report it are arrested. We will either make planting cannabis in Albania an unlicensed criminal offense. Or we cannot have this double situation where we issue medical cannabis licenses, where our Criminal Code puts the headman in prison if two planted roots are found. I am giving you an example of a debate. How do you like the debate, to draw swords in the middle? ", said Majko on the show "Debat" on A2 CNN.
