The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, in his speech to the media, did not spare the criticism of the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to him, it is the majority that is trying not to allow SPAK to properly do the work of justice, as he emphasized the full support of DP for justice. According to him, the role of politics is to be available to justice.
" Now that the SPAK is starting to attack the historical impunity of this government's corruption, the government has pulled out of the drawers an approach produced in Romania to control and attack the SPAK and the Reform in Justice through a so-called Human Rights Commission that is violated by the institutions of justice. I hope this information is wrong. I welcome it and want to refute it, but if it is not wrong and such an issue has been discussed this week at the highest levels of socialist politicians, I want to assure them that the PD will be 100% in the block against such an initiative.
The maneuvers have not stopped. If the SP is thinking about countering the striking power of the SPAK and the justice institutions, we can count on the DP's opposition. The role of the parliament is not to overlap the anti-corruption structures. The only role of politics is to be at the disposal of justice" , said Basha.
