He asked for permission to go to the Assembly, the Supreme Court dismissed Berisha's appeal

The Supreme Court rejected the request of former Prime Minister Berisha, who appealed and asked for permission to go to the Parliament.

The hearing started at 14.30, while the decision was given now, where the Court has rejected Berisha's request against the decision of the GJKKO Appeal that did not allow him to go to the Assembly.

"Rejection of the appeal presented by Sali Berisha, against decision no. 57(87-2024-84), dated 25.03.2024, of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime" , the decision states.

The Supreme Court has also not accepted the appeal of his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, who opposes the "house arrest" measure imposed by the Special Appeal on November 21 of last year.

Berisha is under "house arrest" by the decision of GJKKO, from December 30, 2023, related to SPAK's investigation into the privatization of the former Partizani club.
