The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, during a meeting with experts and heads of departments in the DP for the 2024 budget, also focused on the case of the former Minister of Health for the sterilization concession, Ilir Beqaj.
During his speech, Berisha said that Beqaj would never dare to sign such an agreement without the approval of Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to him, the sterilization concession was 6 times more expensive than Germany's.
The former prime minister declared that Rama is hiding behind this affair, as he added that the 'Check Up' affair is of the same size.
" If we receive the health budget. Two-fifths of it goes to the already known criminal cases of sterilization, a process which in Albania perseveres with their concession, costs 4 times more than in Germany, costs 83 times more than what this process cost when it was carried out by the public sector . I guarantee you and the Albanians that Ilir Beqaj, and no other Ilir Beqaj, whoever he is, would never dare to sign such an agreement.
There is no minister who can sign an affair like that of sterilization. Its real author is the man who, for his own business, appeared before the Albanians with a pair of broken pliers and scissors with one arm. Thinking that it deceives them, this is what they were operating on. So no matter how much Beqaj is a thief without excellence, the number 1 entrepreneur of this affair that costs the country 79 million euros so far, so it goes over 150 million euros, is directly Edi Rama.
