MP Dashnor Sula, who was left off the lists of candidates for MP in the May 11 elections, considers the $6 million lobbying contract in the US by the Democratic Party as non-transparent and extremely high.
From the Report TV studio, Sula said that the DP did not learn from its mistakes, bringing to attention the problems caused by the contract signed by Lulzim Basha years ago, worth 500 thousand dollars.
"This contract was made at the height of the campaign, a lobbying of 6 million dollars is being done when some of the DP branches do not have any money for oil. When talking about 6 million dollars, it is not stated who the donors are, did the DP pay any money, who paid the 750 thousand dollars, there should be transparency. Berisha said we have hired a lawyer, what do you need a lawyer for when it comes to political lobbying. If it is about the problem of non-women, it is another thing, it would be the end of using DP funds for lobbying," he said.
There was also a comment about DP campaign advisor Chris LaCivita. He said that although he was warned that he would stay until May 11, LaCivita has left.
"For LaCivita, they said it would be until May 11, but he has already left and says to frequent meetings as if this is not known. I have said that if you do not meet with citizens and how you have answered the phone in these years, it is useless. LaCivita has understood who the DP is and now holds meetings online," he said.
While making a prediction for the May 11th result, he said that the SP would receive up to 75 mandates.
"I don't believe there will be any spectacular results, between 71 and 75 will be the number of mandates that the majority will receive. The DP is sentenced to 10 years in prison, the burning of mandates they did in 2019 are the effects they are having now," he said.
There was also a comment about the strong statements and harsh language of the DP candidates in the campaign.
"I felt regret, starting from Berisha, that in Elbasan there was language that is not normal to be used. The statement of Bylykbashi today in Cërrik was also shocking. Those devices that were stolen from the Cërrik office are mine.
Since there was no office at all when I went, I contributed with equipment like a computer, I sponsored photocopiers. That office has shutters, but they left them open on purpose.
"I express my regret, I have been in politics for many years and I am shocked by this language used and it shows great naivety. In Elbasan, the DP can only get 5 mandates. This is unfortunate. The behavior of the DP leaders and the making of lists has created a distrust in the Democrats. I feel sorry for the Democrats of Elbasan who will be without representatives in the assembly," said Sula.
Regarding the SP lists, he said that they are not the same as in the past elections, where there were people who had problems with the law.
"The SP list is uncontested, if in the 2013 and 2017 lists, the SP had strong people and people who had problems with the law, this time if you look at the names on the SP lists there are no such problems. And this is something that has been reflected by Rama. If the DP wanted to win against the SP, the opposition camp should be unified, because if you count the number of small parties, they exceed the number of the SP. They should be united with the opposition forces and it would be a big thing, because the opposition is divided," he said.
