Former head of the Intelligence Service, Fatos Klosi, has spoken about Berisha's accusations against socialist MP Pandeli Majko.
Berisha stated that Majko is in the SHISH wiretaps, which targeted drug traffickers who were at a table with Majko in Kukës several years ago. For Klosi, these are unbelievable statements and belong to Berisha's political style for 35 years now.
" He makes some of the strangest statements. I've tried it with his statements with me. They were nonsense. That's his political style. He hasn't talked much about his exploits. He's focused on his opponent. He's never criticized that this program is wrong. He deals with people's personal problems. I can't believe it. It's environmental wiretapping if it is. I can't believe that SHIK has been expanded to wiretap a drug trafficker. Majko is also a deputy and the SP's representative for Kukës. Permission must be obtained for him. According to Berisha, permission was not obtained, but permission was obtained in a court. I don't believe it completely. It's Berisha's political war ," he said on "Front Line" to journalist Marsela Karapanço.
Fatos Klosi further explained what Albanian society should not forgive Sali Berisha for. Klosi says that Berisha started the political war in Albania after 1990 with insults and slander, while not engaging in political programs.
" Berisha created this political situation that we have. A war of events, a family war, this is it or that. He created antagonism. A war situation, but not a political war, but by cursing and slandering the other. He started it in '92. He dealt with the previous ones. They were convicted for the coffees. It's still like that today. He calls this politics. I've experienced it on my own. We shouldn't forgive him for this. With Pandi it's the same as in 1992. He doesn't deserve to be heard. The media is keeping him alive. He's not saying anything. I've known him for 30 or so years ," he said.
