Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, in a meeting with the structures of the Tirana region, has stated that the government does not aim to annihilate the opposition, but aims to turn it into a worthless political force.
During his speech, Berisha declared that Prime Minister Edi Rama, with a series of decisions, made the opposition politically non-existent in the parliament. He further added that now the cup has been poured and the opposition will act.
" The DP and the opposition enter a new phase and a new battle, due to conditions and circumstances that have not existed in the Albanian opposition in 30 years. The opposition, DP, is going through one of its most difficult periods in the last two years, although it is carrying all the transformations of Albania in decades. She and her supporters face an all-out repression of their legal rights with a government aggression aimed not at annihilating her entirely, but at turning her into a worthless political force.
There is a moment when in the simple language of the people it is said "The cup is pouring". After our survival, after the massive violation of the elections, Edi Rama, with a series of de facto decisions, politically makes the opposition in the parliament unstable. We, as representatives of those 600,000 citizens on May 14, go today as never before in the history of the parliament, as peace.
Today, the real opposition enters the parliament as it is no longer allowed any parliamentary commission of inquiry, this is the opposition's constitutional right. After the burners commission, we sent 3-4 requests for other commissions which were blocked in the parliament in the most unconstitutional way ", he said.
