Lulzim Basha is expected to take the leadership of the democratic parliamentary group himself. After numerous clashes with Gazment Bardhi, Basha has decided to remove him from the positions he has taken.
After Enkelejd Alibeaj left as group leader, Bardhi took over. However, today in the Assembly that will be held by Basha, some statutory changes will be approved and there it is determined that in case the PD is not a governing force, the leadership of the parliamentary group is held by the chairman. So Basha will now also be the chairman of the group. It is further stated that the chairman himself can appoint one of the vice-chairmen to exercise this duty.
" When the DPSH is the ruling majority, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group is elected on the proposal of the Party Chairman by the National Council, by secret ballot, between no less than two candidates. When the PDSH is not the governing majority, the Party Chairman is also the Chairman of the Group Parliamentary. The Chairman of the Party, with his authorization, may appoint one of the Vice-Chairmen of the Party to head the Parliamentary Group ," states the amendments to the DP statute.

Also, Basha has decided to exclude from PD all those who ran for other entities. In short, the candidates of May 14 who appeared under the PL logo will no longer be members of this political force.
In July, Bash returned to the head of the DP amid clashes and tensions. Some MPs have opposed it and today the National Assembly seems to be a "guillotine" for critics. Basha will change the statute and through it the way is opened for him to exclude all critics. The assembly was scheduled to convene at 10:00 a.m., but it has not yet started, while the first details of the statutory changes have come out.
