If in government circles the question of how many heads of ministers will be eaten by Edi Rama on Monday, in the ranks of the opposition, the concern is different: into how many groups will they be divided in the first parliamentary session (Monday at 10.00), the 52 deputies from DP lists in April 2021?
The complaint is that the opposition should be seen divided into at least three or four sections. The first and largest, with 21 MPs, is that of the re-establishment, the real PD, gathered around Berisha. Although they have lost Belind Këlliç and Luciano Boçi, they are expected to be in the assembly as the strongest opposition voice.
Gazmend Bardhi is also expected to have a significant role, who, apart from the fact that he is still recognized by most as the official head of the group, is also individually a strong voice of the opposition, even making denunciations that Berisha is reluctant to make. Apart from these two properties, after the conflict with Basha, who grabbed the ownership of the seal beyond any norm, Bardhi has at least a dozen deputies around him. When he had to do a test of strength against Luli, he gathered together, Xelal Mziu, Dashnor Sula, Bledion Nallbati, Andia Ulliri, Qani Xhafa, Dhurata Cupin, Ramadan Lika, Saimirr Korreshin, Helidon Bushat, Zheni Gjergjin and Lefter Gështenje. This whole group is determined not to recognize Basha as a leader, and even laughs at this fact, but on the other hand, it is difficult to be put under the orders of a non grata not wanted by the US, like Berisha.
For his part, Lulzim Basha, to whom Edi Rama has guaranteed the seal, financing and representation of the DP, has fallen from a support of 52 deputies, to 40 after expelling Berisha, to half after he resigned in March 2022 and to 8 deputy now that he decided to act as chairman again. He has only Enkeleid Alibeaj, Kreshnik Collaku, Oriola Pampuri, Flutura Acka, Arbi Agalliu and Merita Baki behind him.
Apart from these, there are also a group of uncommitted players who have decided to play solo for now. The most vocal of them, Agron Gjekmarkaj, far from all, has decided to extinguish the bitterness in hermetic-satirical feuilletons. Jorida Tabaku, closer to Bardhi, since he announced that Basha is a thing of the past, is finding solace in foreign diplomats, absurdly closely following the increasingly distant path of integration. Ferdinad Xhaferi does not seem to find peace with any of the currents, being as much anti-Bashist as anti-Salist, although he admits that Berisha has the majority of the party. Ervin Salianji, is closer to the pulpit, as a man who knows the political game and the will of the membership, he campaigned alongside her in the May 14 elections, but he would fully join only if he took a more dominant position.
In the fourth group, which is actually a group of individuals, two or three more deputies enter and leave. But all these together make the opposition today more divided than ever.
The only attempt, without much hope for a real union, is what is being done between the groups of 21 deputies of Berisha and those 12-14 of Gazment Bardhi. Today, in a meeting with the parliamentarians who support him, Berisha said that the negotiations between the two groups have begun. "The group, with complete unanimity after the discussions of each, was of the opinion to continue negotiations with the group, the other deputies of Gazment Bardhin, with the best goal, achieving a union, as it is established that this will exists from all parties. I call this decision a fair decision in line with the interests of the Democratic Party, its members and sympathizers," said the leader of the Democrats.

E mbështes negociatën, për këtë kemi qenë dhe për këtë kemi ngritur zërin. Nuk ka grup Rithemelimi më por ka deputetë të PD. Ne do bëjmë një grup të përbashkët për të shtuar forcat tona kundrejt Edi Ramës”, tha Korreshi.
Por, ndonëse Berisha i deklaroi shtypit që e pyeti për mundësinë e suksesit të këtyre negociatave se, “kur ekziston vullneti gjërat realizohen”, tymi i bardhë për një grup unik parlamentar, me së paku mbi 30 deputetë, duket i largët.
