The head of the opposition group, Gazment Bardhi, has called the decision of the Assembly to authorize the arrest of Sali Berisha unconstitutional.
In a post on social networks, Bardhi writes that the decision was taken only with the votes of Edi Rama without reasoning and without evidence, as he considered it a genuine political act.
"The unconstitutional decision of the Assembly against Sali Berisha, approved only with the votes of Edi Rama without justification and evidence, is a genuine political act. Ignoring the Constitution and the law in this particular case is the worst standard established in a democratic society.
Everyone should be equal before the law, but equality should also exist in rights. A standard for Edi Rama's collaborators and another completely different standard for Edi Rama's opponents is neither equality nor justice", writes Bardhi.
