Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, held the announced meeting with the Democrats in the city of Shkodra.
Salianji accused Democratic Party leaders of trying to exert pressure on the base and prevent the gathering of disgruntled Democrats.
"The DP employees do not know you and do not want to see the halls full, which are not filled by us or by me, but by the dissatisfaction that every democrat has," he said, adding that the contribution, sacrifice and merit of the party members are being ignored, while the rules set out in the statute, according to him, "are being thrown in the trash."
Salianji harshly criticized what he called the behavior of "armchair gluttons," who, according to him, are obsessed with their chairs and think they can exert pressure through public statements.
"They think they are putting pressure on us by saying strange things in public, but they are wrong," he declared.
Next, the "rebel" Salianji emphasized that he personally does not succumb to pressure, citing his confrontations with the government as an example.
"I don't know pressure. Not even more important people than these can pressure me. Not even Rama pressured me in prison, where the regime put me," he said.
He accused several figures inside and outside the party of, according to him, being soft on the government while trying to appear strong against the Democrats.
"Most who behave like rabbits in front of the regime and in front of the democrats want to look like tigers, but they are wrong," said Salianji.
