The Greek media protothema.gr has once again brought the Beleri issue and Albania-Greece relations to attention, analyzing the Berlin Process Summit that was held yesterday in Tirana. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was also present at the Summit.

The Greek media writes that Mitsotakis, in the meeting with Rama, asked to find a solution to the impasse.
"I emphasize my respect for the independence of the Albanian judiciary, it is not my duty to interfere in its work, but I want to emphasize that Fredi Beleri has the right to swear even in detention and this is foreseen by the Albanian legal order. It is important that the mayor of Himaras is sworn in so that the stalemate affecting Greek-Albanian relations is resolved," said Mitsotakis.
Among other things, the Greek Prime Minister emphasized that Greece firmly and steadfastly supports the perspective of the membership of the Western Balkan countries, underlining that "this path is difficult and requires these countries to make important adjustments to the European acquis".
