The neo-Ottomans want to seize upon anti-Western sentiments and turn them into a political mechanism. Starting from today, where Erdogan has brought Abdi Baleta back to the field as the new Ballaban of the Ottoman Albanians...

The body of political Islam in Albania, linked to the Turkish President Erdogan, is not stopping a single day. It seems clear that we are dealing with an important target for the 2025 elections.

The next movement, of the neo-Ottoman groups or associations of Tirana, takes place tonight, a "study" but deeply political activity, to show that the Albanian League of Prizren was nothing but a mechanism of Ottoman politics.

The most important media of this group, 'Mexhlis', has been supporting the activities for days, where characters who are clearly political fans of the Ottoman Empire stand out. Above all, Abdi Baleta stands out, a former ambassador at the time of Enver Hoxha, then a deputy at the time of the DP, but above all a supporter of the Ottoman betrayal.

The political logic of this activity aims to bring back what such circles often say, that Albanianism was not brought by the West, but by Istanbul.

In these 30 years, especially among Muslims, there is a strong debate on what they call Austria-Hungary's activity to support the National Renaissance.

According to them, the West, with the aim of creating a movement related to Skanderbeg's past, sought to destroy or erase the Ottoman heritage.

But what does this movement aim for?

To relativize the past of the Albanian resistance to the Ottoman Empire at its peak. At the time when the Ottomans consider it as a key point; the time when the Empire was led by Sultan Mehmet, who conquered Constantinople. A turning point in world history, which then ushered in a new global order.

But in this power, precisely in the symbolism that Sultan Mehmeti played with great skill, Gjergj Kastrioti, said to him "stop beg, there is a gap", turning into the symbol of the West's resistance to the Ottomans.

Gjergj Kastrioti, our national hero, is considered throughout European literature, the man who saved Europe from the hordes of Sultan Mehmet. A very important symbolism for a small country, which we have, and rightly so, our revivalists took it back when they sought the revival of the nation.

Austria rightly supported this spirit, as we belonged to a wavelength. But today, in fact, earlier, Ottoman and neo-Ottoman propaganda seeks to tarnish this heritage as renegade. So he wants to call the fighters and thinkers of the renegade nation, and all those who fought alongside the sultan as martyrs (heroes). From Ballaban Pasha of the walls of Constantinople to the heroes of Çanakkale.

In reality, all these characters did not even manage to create an Albanian sympathy for their work, because they fought for a foreign power, which was never theirs, even though it was an empire. Because even Rome, Byzantium, etc. have interacted with Albanians, but different personalities, starting with the Albanian Popes, have been appreciated for the acts they have done towards their people.

And to come to this day, the Ottoman revision of history has a purpose: the Renaissance were supported by the High Gate, they say, and the Albanians are nothing but Muslims who were helped by the Empire.

But here they put themselves in trouble, since these fanatics attack Vienna and its Emperor, precisely because it helped the printing of Albanian books, and they don't have a chance to show an example to their false idols. In order not to go to the Young Turks who killed and butchered the entire Albanian elite, who helped overthrow the last Sultan of the Empire.

Of course, history has been written, and things are clear, but the neo-Ottomans want to cling to anti-Western feelings and turn them into a political mechanism. Starting from today, where Erdogan has brought Abdi Baleta back to the field as the new Ballaban of the Ottoman Albanians.../ Pamphlet
