After more than 90 minutes of marching through the streets of Tirana, thousands of protesters have returned to 'Martyrs of the Nation' Boulevard as they continue their protest, calling on Edi Rama to resign as Prime Minister.
Today's protest, the 11th against Prime Minister Rama and the old politics, is considered the largest in the last two decades, and for the first time, Albanians from the diaspora joined it.
With national flags in their hands, thousands of young men and women, who are the main pillar of the protest, have walked along the main road axes, while chanting "Resign." "We will bring the curly pelican to Surrel," were some of the chants that the protesters have raised during the march.
The protest began at 6:00 PM and until 9:00 PM, the protesters remained on the “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard, from where they started the march. The march continues towards Skanderbeg Square, as thousands of citizens have not stopped throughout the afternoon.
