By 4:00 p.m., 41,600 Democrats had voted.
The primaries process in the Democratic Party has ended. At 6:00 PM, the closing of the ballot boxes began in those centers where there were no more voters waiting.
Voting centers opened at 08:00 in 12 counties across the country, where Democrats cast their votes for those they consider worthy of representing them in Parliament.
The highest turnout is in Tirana, where 10,779 citizens voted by 4:00 p.m. Fier is in second place, where 4,240 democrats cast their votes at the ballot boxes, while Korça is in third place with 3,738 voters.
In Durrës, 3,670 Democrats have voted so far, in Lezha 2,745, in Kukës 2,280, in Shkodra 3,527, in Elbasan 3,295, in Vlora 2,143, in Berat 1,464, in Dibër 2,080 and in Gjirokastër 1,705 Democrats. By 4:00 p.m., a total of 41,600 Democrats had voted.
Around 280 candidates across the country underwent the membership test, while those who receive the most votes will then move on to a second phase. The names will go to Sali Berisha, who will decide who will be on the final list.
The political leaders in the districts themselves were left out of the process, as some of the current MPs competed.
Tirana is the region where the fewest names of current DP MPs stand out, while Korça and Elbasan lead with 4 names of legislators each on the list of Primaries and a strong fight to be re-elected, followed by Lezha with 3 MPs.
Jorida Tabaku ran in Tirana, while Ina Zhupa ran in Vlora. The names of Berisha's spokeswoman, Floriana Garo in Durrës, General Pirro Ahmetaj, former police director Emri Vata, and journalist Basir Çollaku also stand out.
In the Tirana list, the names of MP Asllan Dogjani, Adriana Kalaja, Ilda Zhulali, Grigels Muçollari, former MP Myslim Murrizi, MP Oriela Nebiaj, former head of the Shëngjin Municipality, Salvador Kaçaj, MP Dhurata Çupi, former Deputy Minister of the Interior, Avenir Peka, and former MP Klevis Balliu stand out.
In Vlora, the names of the former Saranda branch chairwoman, Afrovita Dhimojani, MP Ina Zhupa and General Pirro Ahmetaj stand out. In Shkodra, the name of the former mayor under indictment by SPAK stands out, as well as former MP Bardh Spahia, MP Greta Bardeli and the head of the DP branch, Eliona Shkreli.
Also on the list this year is Gjin Gjoni, the judge who was often accused when he was in office. He ran in Lezha. While in Durrës, Arjan Ndoj, the former prosecutor who was assassinated, ran.
