The deputy of the Democratic Party, Sorina Koti, said that the first session of the parliament for this year will take place again with the opposition in protest.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, she stated that the opposition action will continue where it left off in 2023 and that it will continue until a positive result is achieved for the opposition.
Koti also said that after the parliament, the protest will continue on "Mustafa Matohiti" street, otherwise known as Sala street. They will again gather under the palace where former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is under house arrest to continue with the opposition action.
" It will be a session unlike any other. It has been almost a year since we started the protest inside the parliament. We continued it again in the September to December session. So we will continue where we left our opposition action, to demand what is due to us by our constitutional right.
Monday will be a day where we will be at our next protest inside the parliament, to then continue the protest at 18:00 at Dr. Berisha's street. It is an action that has been started for a long time, it will continue until we have a result for the opposition, but not only for him, this is for democracy, for freedom of speech and for the implementation of the laws and the constitution of Albania ", he said.
