The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has accused Edi Rama and his government of neglecting the north.
In a post on the social network Facebook, he shared a political message, recalling his contribution to the construction of the Lezhë-Shkodra highway during his time as Prime Minister.
Meta describes this work as one of the most important infrastructural achievements, realized entirely with state budget funds and as a symbol of hope for the North of the country.
" Every time I travel to Shkodra, I feel truly proud that, despite difficult times as Prime Minister, I completed the Lezhë-Shkodra highway."
The largest road infrastructure project implemented entirely with the state budget.
For the North of the country, not only was a new road being built, but also a new hope was being born. Albania would be much better connected to Europe and tourism would take on a new dimension. The challenges seemed impossible, but they became reality and proved that with vision, high responsibility and patriotism, anything can be achieved.
Sadly, these 12 years are a wasted time and many missed opportunities due to a government that hates the North of the country.
"After the victory of May 11, the North will become Great and our experience, determination and already proven patriotism will make this a reality ," he writes.
