British services have put NATO on alert and forced Rama's government to urgently restore visas with Belarus, after suspicions that Tirana had become a base for Russian agents disguised as tourists. The Rama government's decision to suddenly reinstate the visa regime with Belarus hides a major diplomatic and security scandal, which was dictated by British intelligence services and NATO's strategic partners.
Essentially, the British have signaled to the Albanian authorities that during the visa waiver period, Albania was being used as a “bridge” for people directly connected to the Russian and Belarusian secret services. This alarm, according to international sources, has gone so far as to raise the hypothesis that a spy residence with sleeper agents was being secretly created in Albania, who could be activated at key moments for political destabilization.
The British information has alarmed the allies to the maximum, especially due to the delicate electoral period in Albania on May 11, as well as the important summit of leaders of the European Political Community, taking place in Tirana on May 14-16.
