The irritated Prime Minister told him that no one could impose it through force and ordered the farmer to sit where he was.
During Prime Minister Edi Rama's meeting with farmers in Divjaka, he faced criticism from a farmer.
The farmer told the prime minister that “goods from abroad have taken over the domestic market.” Rama replied that this was not true and that in a democracy, borders cannot be closed to prevent goods from entering the country. The angry prime minister then told him that no one could impose it by force and ordered the farmer to sit down where he was.
"No one can force me. You can barely get a word in. Sit down," Rama told the farmer.

Farmer: We told the Minister of Finance, protect us because goods are coming in from abroad. You should monopolize the goods.
Rama: This is not true.
Farmer: The mayor knows very well.

Farmer: Everyone has the same problem.

Edi Rama: I'm doing politics, don't get me wrong. You remember that politics is a bad word.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a meeting with farmers today, stressed the importance of financial support and cooperation in the agricultural sector. He announced that 250 million euros have been made available for this sector, a fund that could reach up to 1 billion euros in the best case, giving farmers the opportunity to develop sustainable and successful projects.
"The money is there, but what is a problem is the lack of information and the lack of preparation to absorb the money," said Rama, underlining the importance of being able to benefit from European Union funds and state-guaranteed loans.
Rama underlined that it is not enough to work alone, but there must be cooperation and organization. The Prime Minister said that municipalities must be active in supporting farmers and coordinating concrete projects, to guarantee that funds are used effectively.
"Municipalities should be active in cooperating with farmers, so that these projects become concrete," said Rama.
Rama also emphasized lending opportunities.
"Everyone can get loans, which are guaranteed by the state and the interest rates are very low. You need a dossier to tell the bank: 'Here's why you should support me and why what I'm doing brings me profit.'"
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the state has a duty to stand by farmers and agriculturists, just as it supports other sectors, describing agriculture as a fragile sector that needs attention and investment.
