Prime Minister Edi Rama is present today at the event for the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the World Headquarters of the Bektashi Order in Albania.
Prime Minister Edi Rama has expressed his condolences on the passing of Archbishop Anastasios Janullatos.
Rama expressed his condolences to all Orthodox believers.
"I join in expressing regret for the passing of Archbishop Janullatos and, wishing him peace, I convey my condolences to all his collaborators and members of the community of Orthodox believers," Rama said at an event for the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the World Patriarchate of Bektashis in Albania .
Archbishop Anastasios Giannullatos passed away this Saturday morning, after several weeks in a hospital in Athens. Despite the intervention of doctors, the Archbishop did not survive.
Anastas Yanullatos was born on November 4, 1929 in Piraeus, Greece. From the first years of his life, he began to engage in the church, although he had a penchant for scientific subjects, mainly mathematics. While with the beginning of the Second World War, seeing the destruction and suffering of people, he decided to devote himself to religion, as a way to come to their aid.
