The leader of the Democratic Party and the leader of the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition, Sali Berisha, has spoken about expectations for the May 11 parliamentary elections.
With only four days left until the elections, Berisha said that this campaign is among the most beautiful campaigns in his memory.
"We would group campaigns into two groups, those you do when you are in government and those you do when you are in opposition. In this respect, this is one of the most beautiful campaigns in my memory, because here you meet free people who fill the squares, fill the halls and pour all their enthusiasm and positive energy into the campaign.
Initially, I saw this in the diaspora and thought that this enthusiasm and optimism came from them being disconnected, but then this enthusiasm and optimism flooded into all the meetings I had from the south to the north of Albania.
"It is a campaign characterized by a spirit of hope and optimism, characterized by strong and broad support, while the other side sets up chairs and counts the employees who have signed up to go, these are free people who support the Democratic Party. That is why it is one of the most beautiful campaigns in my memory," Berisha said on the "Now" show on Euronews Albania.
