The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a meeting with the residents of Klos in the Municipality of Mat, stated that the SP candidate for deputy, Agron Malaj, went from a guard officer to one of the richest people in Mat.
Berisha stated that every penny of Malaj and his brother is a source of state corruption and tenders, which, according to him, should never have been won in the state.
"Friends, this Agron Malaj, a few years ago, was an officer in the law enforcement agencies or the Republic Guard. Today, he is the richest man in Mati and I assure you that, together with his brother, Fatos, he has acquired that wealth, penny for penny, solely through state corruption, through tenders, which he should never have normally earned in the state," said Berisha.
The leader of the Democrat Party emphasized that today in Mat and everywhere else there are roads, schools are dilapidated, and health centers are destroyed, while adding that the government has not made any investments.
"For Edi Rama, Arbri's Road was never built. Agron Malaj went from a Guard officer to the richest man in Mati. A few years ago, he was an officer in the law enforcement agencies or the Republic Guard. Today, he is the richest man in Mati and I assure you that, together with his brother, Fatos, he has acquired that wealth, penny by penny, solely through state corruption, through tenders, which he should never have won in the state.
These people created a system that never existed. These people created a system so that your money and taxes that are used for schools, for construction, for everything, can be taken for themselves. To create businesses and take them for themselves.
And what did this bring? This brought, if you come to Mat today, and everywhere in the south, they are left where they were, no significant investment. Dilapidated roads, dilapidated schools, destroyed health centers. Meanwhile, billions and billions of euros in tenders turned into their wealth.
So, what did Edi Rama do, friends? Edi Rama took them one by one and said: this money you stole, I want votes. You really became rich, but now I want votes.
Each of them, absolutely, has a record in the prosecutor's office for theft and corruption. And now they are doing everything they can to steal your votes.
But this is only one aspect. You have heard many people accuse Edi Rama of discriminating against the north. He discriminated, I tell you, because I could never accuse him in vain.
He is a man who inherits hatred for the north, because his fathers had that hatred and so on. But what can I tell you about this. He, and the south. He took the money there, but he stole, he did not invest for the citizens. No, absolutely not!” , said Berisha.
