Meet the 4 new ministers of the "Rama" government...

Prime Minister Edi Rama surprised the Socialists today at a group meeting, after deciding to make 7 changes to the government. Rama dismissed Belinda Balluku, Pirro Vengu and Elisa Spiropali from their posts, while sending Lamallari to the Ministry of Interior, Toni Gogu to Justice, and Albana Koçiu became Deputy Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, 4 new names have been approached for the government:

Erjona Ismaili has been appointed Minister for Parliamentary Relations. She is a member of the Socialist Party in Vlora elected a year ago. She was born on March 26, 1990 in Saranda. Ismaili studied law. In recent years, she has served as Regional Coordinator in the Swiss project “Stronger Municipalities”.

Ferit Hoxha will replace Elisa Spiropali in the post of Foreign Minister. Hoxha was born on February 22 in the city of Shkodra. He graduated in 1988 from the Faculty of Foreign Languages; French Language and Culture, University of Tirana, Albania. He also graduated from the Netherlands Institute of International Relations “Clingendael”, The Hague. He began his first experience as a diplomat in 1991, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Then, in 1998, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Albania to the European Union, Brussels, a post he held until 2001.

Then, in the years 2001-2006, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the French Republic, Paris, and in the years 2003-2006, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Portuguese Republic, with residence in Paris. From 2006 to 2009, he was Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2009, he was appointed Ambassador of Albania to the UN, but he is also accredited as Ambassador to Cuba.

Enea Karakaçi will replace Belinda Balluku as Minister of Transport and Infrastructure. Mr. Karakaçi graduated from the Faculty of Law in Tirana in 2009 and completed his Master of Laws at the University of Amsterdam in 2010, in European Union Law.

Enea Karakaçi

He is currently the administrator of the company OSHEE Group. He previously held the position of General Director for Energy and Industry Policy and Development at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. In this position, he was responsible for developing policies and strategies for energy in general, renewable energy, oil and gas, minerals and energy efficiency in Albania.

Previously, he worked at the Energy Regulatory Authority. Later, he was employed at the Ministry of Energy, where he held various positions.

Ermal Nufi was appointed Minister of Defense, replacing Pirro Vengu. He currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office. He completed his "Master's" degree in Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana in 2010.

Since 2021, Mr. Nufi has held the position of legal advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, and has served in various positions within the Albanian public administration.

By decision of the Council of Ministers, he has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of the Albanian Road Authority, member of the Steering Council of the State Cadastre Agency, and ex-officio chairs the Board of the State Agency for Geospatial Information. / Pamphlet
