Monika Kryemadhi reacted after the preliminary hearing at the GJKKO by objecting to the evidence and expert reports presented by SPAK. She stated that the file does not contain any signature or message from Ilir Meta and requested that the Prosecution present concrete evidence for the charges.
Kryemadhi said that she submitted two contracts related to the lobbying issue to the court. According to her, their verification should be carried out through letter-orders in the United States. She also requested that the person who made statements on this issue be questioned.
Regarding the mining law, for which Meta is also accused, Kryemadhi stated that the initiator of the initiative was Prime Minister Edi Rama and not the former president. She requested that the court verify this fact and clarify whether there was pressure on the deputies during the adoption of the law.
Kryemadhi also objected to the financial expertise presented by SPAK, calling it inaccurate and biased. She claimed that double calculations were made for expenses, including fuel supplies. According to her, there was also an administrative verification by ILDKPI regarding the issue of her mother's assets.
Finally, she mentioned her seized phone as evidence and stated that it contained messages from 2014 with Prime Minister Rama, related to discussions about the candidate for Tirana Mayor at that time.
Kryemadhi: I submitted two more contracts to the Court, but they cannot be taken because they are required according to criminal procedure. I submitted them and it is the duty of the Prosecution to request them via registered mail in the USA. I requested that the Prosecution interrogate and search in the USA for the person who made the statements. Mr. Meta has nothing, there is no signature, no message in the file. Even for the mining law, Meta is not the proposer, but it is Mr. Rama who proposed it. We asked the Court to verify it. To tell us what intimidation there was against MPs or personalities", said Kryemadhi, among other things, at the exit of the prosecution building.
SPAK had no evidence, it asked for time for the materials. But I submitted the documents to the court, I also objected to SPAK's expertise, it is illegal and biased.
