But the coming week looks set to be very intense for the Assembly. It is learned that the newly elected Speaker, Niko Peleshi, will call on Monday the heads of parliamentary groups and ask them for the names of the chairmen and members of the committees and the composition of other bodies such as the Bureau or delegations.
A plenary session is scheduled for Tuesday to vote on the membership of the committees. And the accelerated review of changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly and the new scheme of committees. The session in the morning will establish the Council for the Rules of Procedure and Mandates. During the day, the council will pass the new rules of procedure, which will be voted on in a second session on Tuesday afternoon. In the meantime, it is expected that by now Edi Rama has deposited the government program and the decrees for the ministers have arrived in the Assembly.
On Wednesday, Peleshi convenes the Conference of Speakers, where the time for debate on the government and the program is set. Meanwhile, over the next two days, a marathon debate session will take place on the government program, the names of ministers and their voting. On Friday afternoon, the government is expected to be sworn in by Begaj. The session for the swearing in of new MPs and the election of the Speaker was chaired by Vasil Llajo of the Socialist Party, as the oldest MP after Sali Berisha and Tritan Shehu of the Democratic Party, because the latter two refused to open the session.
The first session of the new Parliament was held in two phases. During the morning, at 10:00, the session seemed to pick up where the previous legislature had left off. The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, took the floor to speak outside the agenda and blocked the podium, while he was also surrounded by the Guard. The Democrats brought out banners with crime figures on the podium, while Gazment Bardhi broke Taulant Balla's microphone.

The session lasted only 24 minutes. It was attended by diplomatic missions in our country, the US envoy in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, as well as religious clergy. It was noticeable that SPAK and the General Prosecutor's Office had left their seats empty.
140 MPs are sitting in the hall, including 72 who are entering for the first time. The SP enters with 83 MPs, of which 53 are new names, while the DP and its allies have 50 MPs, 14 of them new arrivals. The PSD enters with 3 MPs, the "Mundësia" party with 2 MPs, while the Lëvizja Bashkë and Nisma Shqipëria enter with 2 MPs. /Panorama/
