The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, left the plenary session the moment Niko Peleshi was elected the new speaker of the Assembly. Outside the hall, he gave a statement to the media, where he commented on the vote of MP Tritan Shehu, who voted differently from the order of the opposition group.

"You will give me the opportunity to talk to Mr. Shehu about what the reason was. I want Mr. Shehu to explain to me... that the WhatsApp that was sent to the group was not understood," said Berisha, relativizing the situation with irony.

Berisha also answered the question about the vote against Bujar Leskaj a few days ago, when the Assembly appointed Gazment Bardhi as the leader of the DP parliamentary group. "He expressed his opinion against it at the meeting. We are a party of free thought, this has not changed and will not change," said the leading democrat.
