Prime Minister Edi Rama stung Athens, as he recalled the fact that Albanians who were forced to live in Greece were also forced to change the names their parents had given them.
During today's visit to Italy, Rama said that this was a shame in the middle of Europe.
"Sisters and brothers, I received many messages from Albanians in Italy after the red and black dance in the heart of Greece. On more than one occasion, they told me that when I came to Milan, I should not forget that you also suffered. You felt excluded from a pain race.
Albanians in Italy were not forced to change their name as in Greece. Which is a stain of shame in the history of democratic Europe", said the prime minister.
