The head of the Albania-Becoming Initiative, Adriatik Lapaj, said that the strategy of "Albania-Becoming Initiative" was not to obtain mandates by focusing on a specific area, but the campaign would be carried out throughout the country.
Lapaj told "News 24" that if it were about numbers, they would have entered into a coalition with the DP to get 5-6 MPs to the table or they would have focused on the capital or somewhere else to get mandates.
He emphasized that early elections would be the ideal solution, because if they had happened, "we would have a government of experts and professors, to prepare the first democratic elections in this country."
Where did you have a secure mandate?
Adriatik Lapaj: We did not calculate mandates. Since we had entered into a coalition with the DP and had taken 5-6 mandates on the table. We did a national campaign, in every corner of Albania the same. We believed in something else, not calculating by focusing on one area. We could have had no mandates.
Will you be an MP?
Adriatik Lapaj: We are following the process, it will have its own steps, until the turn of the mandate comes. What is certain is that we have a path that has no turning back. It is true that we expected more support than that. We reached out to everyone, this for the need for change.
We will always follow the path of the law. Our mandate in the Assembly will be "pigment".
