MP Ervin Demo, who will join Parliament in September 2025, said that he sees the role of the opposition in the new legislature as important, as far as the country's EU integration process is concerned.
The socialist MP said that at this stage in Albania, the opposition must be aware of its role, especially in the integration process. He added that they should not harm the country at this stage of the process.
"I definitely believe that the space that it deserves and that is necessary should be given to the opposition. I believe even more that in this phase that Albania is in, the opposition should be aware of its role, especially in the integration process."
"I really hope that the integration process will be even more of a reason for political parties to be more responsible and see their role in Parliament as a constructive one and not to maintain a destructive stance that at the end of the day they themselves suffer from an electoral point of view but may also do some minor damage to Albania at this stage of the process ," Demo told "News 24".
