The meeting of the National Council of the Democratic Party of Albania (DP) has concluded, where one of the members of this forum, Ilirjana Kuçana, called for the cleansing of the DP.
Sources within the meeting learned that Kuçana has stated that he is not withdrawing his signature for the initiative proposed by a group of 17 members of the National Council, with the aim of discussing it at the next meeting of this forum.
"We have to be serious. If we want to overthrow Rama, surround the Prime Minister's Office, each MP should bring 100 people. Have you made up your mind to overthrow Rama? I have signed the party purge and I am not withdrawing my signature, nor am I apologizing ," Kuçana said.
The initiative proposed by Lisandër Hoxha was filed one day before the National Council meeting.
The proposals consist of a new approach regarding the political relationship with ideology.
The initiators of this proposal demand that people who are educated with scholarships from the far-left Open Society Foundation, people who have been experts for this foundation, who have benefited from funds from this organization, or who are directly or indirectly connected to the PPPs and tenders of the most corrupt government in Europe, are incompatible with the mandate as senior officials of the Democratic Party.
